Belfast Pride Parade

Applications for the Belfast Pride Parade 2023 are currently open.
Applications will close on 3rd July 2023.

Belfast Pride is the biggest event of the year for LGBTQIA+ people of Belfast and we’re back for 2023 and we hope to have the biggest parade since we were founded back in 1991. Here is everything you need to know about taking part in the parade as a community group, organisation, union, political group or business group. In 2022, we had over 70,000 people attend and this year we hope to break that record. We want to bring our community and our city together again to celebrate LGBTQIA+ lives and continue to protest for full equality. Changes to the Belfast Pride Parade 2023

Due to the ever-increasing interest in the Belfast Pride Parade throughout N. Ireland, we are having to continuously review and rethink our strategy for planning to allow the Parade to evolve, while still ensuring safety is paramount for every one taking part. We are introducing new measures this year that we think will give us more control over both numbers and overall planning, so we ask you give our updated T&C’s a thorough read through to refresh your knowledge for Parade Day.

The main change will be the introduction of coloured Branded Wristbands this year which are numbered and allocated on application acceptance in full ( including payment). A revamped table of the group types and the available purchase options based on group size is available here.  ONLY the applied number of wristbands are permitted to assemble in our new allocated COLOUR ZONES. Another noteworthy change will be the closing of all applications the first week of July on Monday July 3rd. This date is final to allow us time to process and post wristbands accordingly.  We ask all groups to have a valid application in by this date and have a payment receipted by us for the allocated FEE. Alternative payment methods need to be discussed and agreed with Parade Managers or our office Administrator.  The Parade set up areas and zones will remain the same as previous years and the new set up procedures will be discussed in full at our group Marshall Briefings at dates advised along with your wristbands and welcome pack that will go out to you after July 3rd cut off.

Once the application process begins you will have the opportunity to discuss all aspects of your entry with your assigned Parade Manager who will happily advise you to the best of their vast experience in managing the parade.  We are here for your benefit and are only to happy to answer any/all questions.
