Meet the Team

Belfast Pride is run by a dedicated voluntary team with the one aim of fighting for Equal rights for the LGBT+ community in Belfast. The committee is supported by a larger volunteer team who also dedicate their time to offer their skills, experiences and expertise to enable us to deliver the biggest LGBT+ Festival on the island of Ireland.

Craig Kirkwood (He/Him)
Deputy Parade Manager

Craig is our deputy parade manager and works closely with the rest of our team to plan, organise and run the parade while also helping with other events throughout the festival.  He also serves as the first point of contact between Pride and the parade applicants and works on the marshal briefings.  He’s volunteered with us since 2017 but has previously been involved with Pride through St John Ambulance (NI) and as an SIA door supervisor through one of our previous security contractors.  Craig currently works as a security supervisor in Craigavon and has ten years experience in dealing with large crowds, physical security, and event management.
