Belfast Pride is currently seeking to recruit a number of dynamic, enthusiastic and committed volunteers
Did you know that Belfast Pride is run entirely by volunteers? We could not exist without Team Pride; that’s why we need you!
Belfast Pride was founded in June 1991 and is an inclusive voluntary charity organisation that seeks to promote equality, visibility and inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ community in Belfast.
We deliver a festival programme of arts, debate, family and events for all, leading on to Pride Day with the annual Pride Parade through Belfast City Centre, Party in the Square and Pride Village. The festival runs over 10 days, with over 150 events. Over 100,000 people take part on Pride Day.
The Belfast Pride Parade is the biggest cross-community parade in the city, the main event in the LGBTQIA+ calendar. It is a protest and a celebration, a call for equality, a stand for solidarity and a celebration of the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community in Belfast.

Volunteer for Belfast Pride 2025 We all want to help create the biggest, best and most inclusive celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in Belfast and we never lose sight of that.
Team Pride members get involved for a whole variety of reasons:
– To make a stand for Equality
– To give back to the community
– To gain new skills and experience
– To make new friends
Volunteering with Belfast Pride Festival is a unique experience which provides volunteers with a sense of reward and achievement. We want to make sure that Pride is celebrated all year round so we host regular volunteer social events and meet-ups throughout the year. We work very hard to make everyone feel part of our Team Pride family.

What we ask of you
Belfast Pride features some major events including the events of Pride Day. We ask that you MUST be free all day on Saturday 26th July 2025. Many roles will involve a degree of responsibility in crowd management, keeping people safe, and ensuring events go smoothly. We do employ a security team as well, so you’ll be kept safe too!
